Alessandra has a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry and a background spanning medicinal, organic, and materials chemistry. When not turning brilliant ideas into funded reality you can find her baking sweet treats that are reminiscent of her home in Italy.
Anthony Ryan
Consultant
Anthony has been writing proposals since 2008 and would love to go to space one day (though he has zero interest in moving to Mars!). He brings over 15 years of experience helping secure funding across science and technology sectors.
Aroa Rey Campa
Senior Consultant
Aroa has a PhD in molecular microbiology and biotech experience, so anything involving genes, bacteria, and enzymes is her thing. She joined Iconiq in April 2025 and makes useless pottery in her spare time (sturdy rough mugs available on request!).
Beatriz Riesco Garcia
Project Implementation Consultant
Bea is an engineer with 19 years of experience managing international innovation projects for Horizon Europe programs, overseeing everything from technical development to business plans for big consortiums and SMEs. When she's not working, you'll find her walking her dog.
Charlie Culling
Senior Consultant
Charlie has been writing proposals since 2014 and loves that this job enables him to play a (small) part in making the world greener, smarter, and safer. When he's not working, his time is filled with family activities and watching F1 when the season is on.
Chris Hare
Consultant
Chris has been working with Iconiq since June 2022, both as a writer of proposals and to deliver Iconiq's practical input to live projects. Music provides a creative outlet, both as a rock drummer and an electronic music dabbler.
Clare Trimnell
Marketing Consultant
Clare joined Iconiq in April 2025 supporting the Project Delivery team with marketing initiatives. When she's not working, you'll find her on the sidelines of athletics tracks, football and rugby pitches cheering on her two sporty children.
Cristina Brabyn
Senior Consultant
Cristina is originally from California but has been living in Spain for close to 15 years. She’s been working in grant funding since 2017 on a range of European programmes. With a young family there isn’t much down time but on the rare occasion that there is, you will find Cristina practicing yoga, hiking or cooking.
Dávid Forgacs
Innovation Partnerships Manager
Dávid joined Iconiq in February 2024 with a PhD in nanotechnology and 7 years commercialising perovskite solar cells at Saule Technologies. Dávid loves travel and and listens to music constantly (death metal to techno) and also is a big karaoke fan.
Dharam Patel
Head of Proposal Delivery
Dharam is the longest serving employee at Iconiq and has been leading our proposal delivery team officially since 2024. Dharam is a Formula 1 nerd and happy to explain why it's more than cars going around a track really fast.
Greg Jadwiszczak
Senior Innovation Partnerships Manager
Greg came back to Iconiq in November 2024 after a short break in the corporate world. He has degrees in Motorsport Engineering and Accounting & Finance (though he still says he's not the best at maths!) and is our resident adrenaline junkie.
Ian Gee
Managing Director
Ian has been involved in the proposal space for more years than he cares to admit. Ian is always on his phone – usually on LinkedIn, and is kept busy by his 3 children and Oscar the dog. He’s also an active badminton player and apparently he's pretty good.
Isabelle Chapman Beltrão
Consultant
Isabelle started her proposal writing journey with Iconiq in 2019 and rejoined after a stint in the start-up world. She's had a busy 5 years including getting married, immersing herself in waste and recycling (thankfully not literally), and most recently having a lovely daughter who's still learning the skill of sleeping through the night.
Jianzhu Wang
Consultant
Jianzhu completed her PhD in supramolecular chemistry in Edinburgh before joining Accenture, where she helped pharmaceutical companies develop sales and marketing strategies. She now combines her scientific background and consulting experience to draft compelling proposals that drive innovation and help make the world a better place.
Jon Meakin
Consultant
Jon joined Iconiq in July 2025 with a Materials Science PhD focused on magnetic materials. He previously led engineering and funding proposals at adidas Innovation, mainly focused on bio-circular materials. Jon is our resident foodie and is happy eating out at great restaurants but is equally happy at a street food cart.

JC is an epic-level innovation geek with a medical Phd who's been working with projects and proposals since he was a science sprout. JC loves his excel sheets, great movies and playing tabletop games.
Keerthana Roy
Innovation Support Executive
Keerthana joined Iconiq in February 2024 with a background in Biotechnology, content writing, and tax consulting (though she has no idea how she ended up in tax!). She has 2 furry babies who have her well trained and enjoys reading books or stories of series she's too lazy to watch.
Laura Barby
Head of People
Laura joined Iconiq in 2024, driving our HR function and shaping talent strategy to develop people in line with the company’s vision. Outside of work, she’s managing family life, enjoying time on the netball court, or enjoying long walks with Luna, her German Shorthaired Pointer.
Laura Pilon
Consultant
Laura is a polymer chemist with a curious mind that’s taken her across multiple industries. When she’s not tackling problems at work, she’s outdoors with her dog, Dexter, or behind a camera lens. Many of the photos on our website were captured by her.
Leon Lever
Consultant
Leon joined Iconiq in 2025 after freelancing with the team. With a PhD in physics and six years in semiconductor and photonics research, he helps innovators turn ideas into impact. When he's not working, he's kitesurfing, hiking, or making music around the world.
Maria Michalska
Innovation Partnerships Executive
Maria joined Iconiq in June 2025 after earning a first-class Business Law degree. She's part of our Innovation Partnerships team and happy to review legal documents if you ask nicely. Originally from Warsaw, she visits home often but ensures someone tends to her 30+ rescued plants - her thriving leafy jungle.
Megan Seymour

Megan is a PhD chemist by background but motivated to dig right into the detail of any technology that makes the world greener and safer. She’s based in the Midlands, but weekends are more often spent in a campervan or tent - usually, as it happens, in whichever corner of the UK turns out to be coldest and wettest.
Natasha Beveridge
Finance Manager
As a qualified Chartered Accountant, Natasha joined Iconiq in November 2025 to manage all things finance and contribute her problem-solving skills to the team's work. When she's not crunching numbers, she's outdoors with her three boys or tackling brain teasers and puzzles.Nick Brooks

Nick is a co-founder of Iconiq and has been writing proposals for almost two decades and some would say that he is very wise. Nick is currently located in Spain helping to support Iconiq’s growth across Europe. Outside of work Nick is to be found either in the gym or walking the family dog or watching Netflix with a glass of wine.
Oliver Bennett
Head of Innovation Partnerships
Oliver has worked at Iconiq for 7 years leading the business development team. He has two sausage dogs Nelly and Peggy and is a cold plunge enthusiast (5am daily) and vegan, a decision that came out of working on a particularly insightful proposal. When not at work you'll find him cheering on Leicester City or enjoying time on the golf course.
Stephen Ryley
Head of Project Delivery
Steve has been with Iconiq since 2019 and heads up our project delivery team. He has a PhD in materials chemistry and spent many years in the lab before transitioning into project management and business roles. At the weekend you’ll most likely find Steve out on one of his bikes or baking some vegan goodies.
Tim Unerman
Consultant
Tim is originally from the UK but moved to Sweden in 2017 for an electric car start-up and decided to stay. His technical background is in materials (composites, polymers, ceramics, high-performance metallics) and he enjoys traveling and fun outdoor activities like swimming, hiking, cross country skiing, and mountain biking.
